Bio

CEO and Founder of The Bernard Group, Gregory Bernard is the Director of Alumni Relations at Southern Connecticut State University, specializing in alumni leadership development, volunteer cultivation, affinity group management, and program logistics/execution.  Prior to returning to his alma mater, he held Alumni Relations positions at the University of Connecticut, and Wesleyan University.   

 

With nearly 20 years of experience in student affairs, alumni affairs, and leadership development, he has both the analytical and communication skills necessary to be an exemplary higher education and business professional.  

Gregory has been a featured speaker at the Council for the Advancement of Support of Education's Annual District 1 Conference, Conning Financials' Summer Institute, the CSU system’s ‘Crossroads in Communication’ program, The Black Man Can Institute, among several other panel discussions, keynote addresses and workshops covering leadership, team building, diversity/inclusion, advanced communication techniques, and career preparation.   

Additionally, Gregory was selected to participate in the annual Minority Advancement Institute, a highly selective conference coordinated by CASE for exemplary professionals of color in the field of advancement. 

Gregory earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Organizational Communication and Management from Southern Connecticut State University and Central Connecticut State University, respectively.
